First and foremost, the purpose of this blog and even the donations to this cause is not to create division between ethnicities or gender. The goal is to bring light to the reality that women (and fellow Latinas) have been facing down in history and to support and uplift each other and the future generation.
As a hardworking woman and young Latina, I immediately connected with this issue when I found out about this day through social media. I knew I wanted to do something more than speak about it. That's when I decided to donate a portion of the earnings from the "Boss Lady" Collection until the end of November to help Latinas build better futures for themselves and their families through education and entrepreneurship.
